Yoga is a science of living healthy life forever. It is like a medicine which treats various diseases gradually by regularizing the functioning of body organs.

Yoga is very a ancient science more than 6000 years ago, derived from the Vedic tradition of India. Basically the word yoga is from the Indian Sanskrit language word “yuj”. Yuj means union. Ancient yogis from India invented a way to maintain balance between their emotion, action, and intelligence by simple exercise, breathing, and meditation. This union between mind, body and soul is called yoga.It is consists of Ancient Theories, observations and principles about the mind and body connection which is now being proven by modern.

Many still believe that yoga is a religion, but it’s not, instead, it’s a way of living who strives to have a healthy mind in a healthy body. A human is a mental, physical and spiritual being and yoga helps promote a balanced development of all the three. Other forms of physical exercises, such as aerobics, guarantee only physical well being. They have very little to do with the development of the spiritual or planetary body. The exercises performed through yoga recharge the body with cosmic energy, which facilitates.

In a routine,  yoga helps to develop strength, flexibility, range of motion, concentration, and cardiovascular health and reduces stress, tension and tightness. Yoga gives us relief from countless ailments at the physical level. The practice of the postures (asans) strengthens the body and creates a feeling of well being. From the psychological view point, yoga sharpens the intellect and aid in concentration; it steadies the emotions and encourages a caring for others.

Every yoga asana (pose) has a different name and includes standing postures, seated twists, backbends, arm balances, inversions and core holds. The downward facing dog for example, is in itself said to calm the brain, energies the body, improve digestion, strengthen arms and legs and be therapeutic for high blood pressure.

The essence of yoga is to make the process of life as efficient and enjoyable as possible. In the beginning it is essential that we learn not only what the stretches are, but how to stretch, how to relax and how to breathe etc.

Some yoga methods use specific meditation techniques to focus the mind on your breathing that quietness the constant 'mind chatter', relieves stress and allows you to feel relaxed. Practicing yoga can also boost oxygen levels to the brain, leaving you feeling happier and more content with everyday life
